Why we do what we do
Many companies are driven by a variety of factors. Hopefully adding value to clients, contributing to society and generating a return are among them, as we certainly count those among our reasons for getting up in the morning. These are great reasons but we see them as necessary but insufficient for us.
We are truly motivated by innovation! Innovation not just for the sake of small improvements, no marginal changes. Innovate to fundamentally rebuild processes whereby 10-50x improvements are achievable. Think of walking as a way of getting from point A to point B, by burning calories. Now think of the bicycle as the innovation which still allows you to get from point A to point B, but with a material difference in calorie burn. That’s what we call innovation!
Our Story
Every business has a beginning and ours takes you back to a dream spanning over a decade of thinking, learning and experimenting. Some called us technologists, others called us investors. The truth is that we have been and continue to be both, with the relatively new “fintech” term possibly being most appropriate. At the beginning data cost, data availability and infrastructure investments into hardware were prohibitive. Exponential growth in data over the past decade and the emergence of cloud computing platforms have slowly taken away those prohibitive factors.
